DanniVision FAQ

First, check your system and make sure you have
all the necessary software to view our DanniVision files:

Operating Systems:
PC users require Windows 98 SE, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or Windows XP OS

Mac users require OS 7.5.5 or better

Browsers:
Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape 5.0 or better

1. I have a Mac. What about me?
Good news! DanniVision is a streaming video program and should work with your Mac.

2. How come I can't download the DanniVision videos?
DanniVision videos are streaming only and cannot be downloaded.

3. How do I make the picture bigger?
Unfortunately, the screen size cannot be increased for DanniVision.

4. I can't seem to get the DanniVision videos to work at all. Are there setting changes I can make to my browser?
If you are having trouble with DanniVision, there are some things you can try:

First, make sure you have all your Java settings enabled in your browser and are set to accept all cookies. Without these settings, DanniVision doesn't have "permission" to start from your browser. Then clear your browser memory cache. A full memory cache can slow down the processor and make the video sluggish.

Second, firewalls will often stop DanniVision from running at all. If you know how to change the settings on your firewall, open all your "outbound ports." If you don't know how to change the settings, you'll have to turn the firewall off completely in order to view DanniVision.

Third, make sure you have the most recent version of your preferred browser, and all the plug-ins and updates that are available for it. If you use Internet Explorer, make sure you have the most recent version of the Java Virtual Machine installed as well.
