I can't seem to get the DanniVision videos to work at all.
Are there setting changes I can make to my browser?
If you are having trouble with DanniVision, there are some
things you can try:
First,
make sure you have all your Java settings enabled in your
browser and are set to accept all cookies. Without these
settings, DanniVision doesn't have "permission"
to start from your browser. Then clear your browser memory
cache. A full memory cache can slow down the processor and
make the video sluggish.
Second,
firewalls will often stop DanniVision from running at all.
If you know how to change the settings on your firewall,
open all your "outbound ports." If you don't know
how to change the settings, you'll have to turn the firewall
off completely in order to view DanniVision.
Third,
make sure you have the most recent version of your preferred
browser, and all the plug-ins and updates that are available
for it. If you use Internet Explorer, make sure you have
the most recent version of the Java Virtual Machine installed
as well.
If
you find you need to install the Sun Java Virtual Machine,
it can be downloaded here:
http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html
If
you need to install the Microsoft VM, it can be downloaded
as part of the Windows Update at:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
